Cricket at The British Club

The British Club’s cricket section is home to The BC XI, a social team that plays friendly fixtures against other clubs across Singapore and Johor Bahru. We're also a touring side, enjoying the variety of cricket and culture across the region.

Local matches are usually played on Saturday afternoons, followed by the traditional post-match drinks—either at the ground or back at the Club’s sports bar, SCORES. Regular evening nets keep players match-ready, while social events at the Club keep the camaraderie alive. 

We welcome British Club members, guests, visiting players, and overseas touring teams to get in touch.

  • Junior Cricket– If your young one is interested in cricket, we’d love to get them involved. We hold clinics from time to time and encourage future BC XI cricketers to enjoy the game. Register here. 

 

Tours & Visitors

Tours:
The BC XI tours regularly across Asia and further afield, combining cricket with camaraderie. Touring sides seeking competitive yet social fixtures are always welcome to reach out.

Visiting Teams:
We host overseas teams in Singapore. In recent years, The BC XI have faced visiting Royal Naval fleets, including HMS Tamar and HMS Prince of Wales. These fixtures are always followed by British Club hospitality at SCORES.

Legends:
The Cricket Section has hosted some fantastic events at the Club, welcoming cricketing greats such as former England captains Adam Hollioake (ODI) and Mike Gatting (Test/ODI). We look forward to seeing who’s next!
